The casing of MultiTask®™ Filmpads is of a thin clear polyurethane film. The pads will find their use in preventing decubitus ulcers during short immobilization wherever a comfortable position for the patient is important: on operating tables, X-rays, pressure chambers, as well in neonatology.
For babies, the soft, cushioned position of our supports help overcome the shock of leaving the inner warmth of their mother: Their softness and warmth (heat accumulation) in incubators offer obvious antidecubital properties.
Together with our specific accessories they allow a stable comfortable positioning of the babies making examination easier and support the efforts of nursing staff.
On the other hand MultiCure® Gel Cushions and MultiCure® Comfy Cushions as well as mattresses in various sizes are covered with a 5 mm neoprene sheet with a permanently bonded stretchable, free-breathing nylon fabric.
They are used when longer periods of immobilization are required by appropriate treatment in prophylaxis or therapy of decubitus ulcers.
The combination MultiCure® Comfy Cushion contains a gel-filled centrepiece that can be removed when required, for example using the outer frame on a toilet-chair. A long stay on the toilet-chair will be easier for elderly, disabled people.
